Volunteer updates

Kaye S. Morris on July 30, 2010

Thank you to the local businessman who volunteered to network all the computers at Broad Street Ministry Center. Brother, you are an answered prayer for the staff here! God is so good!

Thank you to Augusta Janitorial Service for the paper products and cleaning supplies you delivered again this month to us. What an awesome blessing!

Abraham's Place would like to tell all the faithful volunteers who work each week in the food pantry that we love and appreciate you. Thank you for unloading groceries, processing freight, sorting foods, stocking the shelves, and handing out bags and boxes of groceries to those in need who come to BSMC. You have been the hands and feet of Jesus each time you help, if only sharing a smile with someone.

Below are some of the requests from the BSMC volunteers and staff:

  • Please remember the 19 youngsters who made decisions during the first three Vacation Bible Schools here. Pray that God sends other believers their way to help them stay strong in their new found faith.
  • Please remember the last week of VBS running July 27 - 29th at BSMC and all the volunteers working to share Christ with inner city youngsters.
  • Don't forget to pray that the Lord leads the lost to our doorstep to share His grace and mercy.
  • Volunteers, pray one for another as we lock arms to work in a tattered city sharing the hope of our Lord to the lost.
  • And please remember the fruit of the vine at BSMC and all the new salvations.
  • One of Becoming's members named San has a friend who needs our prayers. Kenny has gout and other medical problems.
  • Helen T found out she has cataracts on her eye. Please pray for her as she gets accustomed to the impaired vision caused by them.
  • Former volunteer at BSMC, Sybil of Fleming Baptist Church, found out she has breast cancer. Please lift her up in prayer.
  • Please remember our Monday night Bible study, "Who Is God?" every Monday evening at 6:00 PM at BSMC.
  • Please pray for Hope International Church to reach out in Christian love to this neighborhood as they meet here at BSMC on Sunday morning  (11 AM) and Wednesday nights (7 PM).
